Blockchain technology is fast gaining adoption as the fundamental value proposition is its ability to exchange value in a trust-minimised, permissionless way that does not require the intermediation of any third party.

Digital assets, a product of the blockchain technology is now a newly recognised class of asset. It can retain value and is digitally finite, making it a viable alternative to gold and other precious metal.

This talk explores the opportunities that are unlocked through new regulatory frameworks that will facilitate fund raising using the blockchain technology. Potentially, corporations through Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) platforms can conduct public fundraising exercise of up to RM100 million. Apart from that, blockchain can also offer solutions that prioritise trust, security and transparency in data traceability, making it a strategic and operational advantage to corporations.

Participants will also look into actionable strategies adopted worldwide on digital assets as an emerging asset class and the upside potential it holds as an investable asset.
